Thanks Jo! It was actually Susie's parents who started the goat cheese venture (after they sold their amazing leather company!) I think she took it over eventully. I used to go to visit Marie-Claude and hang out at the farm. Saw Susie and her parents there often. Pretty great times. Here's to Paris, Carrie and me - and to goat cheese!

Thanks Phil, as always, for the wonderful comments. We had such a short time there we could only really jump right in. It really is the only way to do it! I highly recommend David's book - a fun, informative read that it is full of mouth-watering recipes too. I hadn't seen the show you attached -- really great piece. Thanks for sharing it. More adventures coming up soon! Cheers!!

For the limited amount of time you had to spend there, it certainly sounds like you did it as perfectly as you could have. Just as Bourdain said in his first No Reservations episode, the best thing you can do in a city like Paris is get away from the hotel and immerse yourself with the locals, in the most tucked away places you can find. It sounds like you guys did just that.

I didn't know David had a new book. I need to check that out. I didn't know who David was until he was featured on the episode of Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie (which also featured Pim, and one of my favorites, Mark Lowie of Sticky Rice).

You've probably seen it, but if any of your readers are interested in watching it online you can see it free here:
http://www.gourmet.com/diaryofafoodie/video/2008/01/206_bloggers_preview

I love that throughout your entire 2 day stay, there's mention of the three things that attract me to it in the first place: coffee, fresh bread, and goat cheese.

Awesome. Can't wait to read more . . .
