      What’s It All About?

      100 Miles is a food blog written by me, freelance writer, Charles G. Thompson.  The blog’s content is based on my twenty year career in the food business starting when I was seventeen.  I have been a personal cook in France; cooked in and/or managed top U.S. restaurants; and worked in management in high-end gourmet food stores  in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles.  I have eaten my way across the U.S., Europe, Mexico, South America and Hong Kong.  I speak French, Spanish and Italian.
